I’m logging off for a couple weeks of vacation while Duncan holds the fort and I just wanted to say thank you to everyone we’ve worked with for a fun and busy summer!

Also as you’re out for a late summer stroll, stop by Beaconsfield to view their Black Islanders: Four Centuries and Counting exhibition. I worked on the panels earlier this summer and it’s been great to see people stopped to view them whenever I’m passing through the park.

Oh hey! Here are a few spreads from “the currents that carry us” catalogue. This group exhibition ran for five months last year at the Confederation Centre Art Gallery. Designing exhibition catalogues is my fav (and having a work in this show made it extra special).

There’s a focus on materiality throughout the exhibition that the catalogue reflects by emphasizing texture and detail. Curator @roxyferns_ brought the idea for a flowing image collage (brilliant). I’m inspired by mid-century book design and this cover is definitely influenced by the never-ending quest to make things look a bit less…new.

I’m so grateful to have been a part of this 🌀🌀🌀

I figured I better get this one on the grid before year’s end! It’s the latest edition of the Radiant Rural Halls catalogue I first worked on for @thistownissmallpei in 2022. The feedback from last year was like “this is nice but there should be a photo on the cover!” So now here we are in 2023 with a sweet pic of Tanya Davis performing at the Bonshaw Community Hall front and centre. The wonderful photography included throughout the book makes it such a delight to put together. Hard to believe the 2024 edition of Radiant Rural Halls is now only a few short months away!

Back in March I had the pleasure of making a lil program for @corbinmurdoch and the Song Portraits concert he held at Milton Hall with @thistownissmallpei 🎻💘

The show was amazing. We stomped, we clapped, we cried. A video of the event by @onethousandflowers is screening at the hall TONIGHT (the more u know!🌈)

This program is filled with beautiful photos taken by @philipmerc and includes an adorable icon of Milton hall that Duncan helped me create. Our dear friend Corbin is moving on to greener pastures (Dawson City) and I’m so glad we got to work on this together during his year in PEI!

One of the projects I was lucky to work on this year is Elizabeth Iwunwa’s incredible upcoming collection íjè: An Immigrant’s Voyage into Prince Edward Island Life from @pownalstreetpress - I designed the interior and put together some promo materials for the upcoming launch, featuring the book’s beautiful cover art by @niyi.adeogun

íjè is launching at the Carriage House from 7-9pm on Thursday, March 16th (next week!!!). Hope to see you there :)

My friend @thislifeintransit hit me up earlier this year asking about a shirt design for his garage. I’ve been following Cole and his car activities for 10 years now and he’s been very inspirational, so obviously I was excited to help him out.

It was our first time preparing a design for risograph printing, which was FUN. We understand the process much better now and can’t wait for the next riso project! 🖨🎶
